Caring Family Looking For A Kind Long-Term Nanny
Job #J013
About the Children:
The kids are full of energy and curiosity! The love to play outside, learn new things, visit new places, and do arts and crafts. They generally prefer to be out and about doing things as opposed to being stuck at home. The 6 year old girl loves making up songs and dances and has a strong independent streak. The 5 year old boy is cuddly and empathetic, unless he’s having big feelings.

About the Family:
The family moved to Denver about two years ago and have no family nearby, that’s why having a reliable and stable nanny is very important to them.
Pets:
The family has one cat that doesn’t need any care.
Ideal Candidate:
The family is looking for someone who can help with school pick-ups, keeping the kids active and engaged during after school hours (visiting, parks, museums, libraries, etc.), taking them to occasional after school activities (right now that’s only soccer practice once a week), and making sure the kid’s messes are cleaned up.
They are looking for someone with experience with preschoolers/elementary school aged kids and their big feelings, English speaking (does not need to be their first language), and a car!
The family’s ideal nanny is someone who is extremely responsible and reliable, kind, an active and engaged caregiver, and truly loves kids and joining them in their play (being silly, singing and dancing, imaginative play, arts and crafts, running around outdoors, etc.).
They are looking for someone who wants to form bonds with their family and will hopefully grow to love their kids almost as much as they do (and stay with them for a long time). Their ideal nanny is someone who is good with holding firm boundaries as their kids love to test them and quickly learn what they can and cannot get away with. They hope to find someone who is invested in their children's social and emotional growth and will help teach them how to be good, kind, thoughtful humans.
The family is looking for someone who will make their lives easier by taking some of the kid related stress out of their lives. Some ways a nanny can do this is by taking initiative to plan fun things for them and kids to do, always showing up to school pick ups on time so that's not something they need to worry about, making sure that the kids clean up their messes so that's not something the parents have to do after they get off of work, etc.
Open and honest communication is also key!
The family’s ideal nanny would also be able to cover additional hours on occasion when the kids are out of school, but they know that is hard to find when generally they only need someone part-time, so that is not a requirement.

Clear background check
Clear driving record
Must have their own car
CPR certified
Benefits:
Major holidays plus 18 days of PTO: 10 of the family’s choosing and 5 of the nanny’s choosing with advance notice.
